Work / Project 05
Alleato × Qantas
In progress Final recommendations still being developed
How can Qantas rebuild trust with its stakeholders while creating a more transparent and seamless travel experience?
Our focus
Trust, and how
you rebuild it.
As part of my Business Consulting course at the University of Sydney, my team is working with Alleato on a real-world project: identify a current or emerging business challenge, then develop an actionable solution.
We chose Qantas, and we’re exploring how the airline can strengthen its relationship and rebuild trust with customers and other stakeholders. Our developing strategy focuses on using transparency, sustainability and technology to give customers more confidence and control throughout their travel experience.
What we’re exploring
Three ways to
give control back
Each of these is really the same idea in a different place: tell the customer what is actually happening, and let them decide what to do about it.
Sustainability & transparency
Giving customers clearer information about the aircraft and flight they are booking, including relevant sustainability information, so they have a better understanding of what they are choosing when they fly with Qantas.
Smarter disruption management
An automated Plan A, B, C system for delays and cancellations. Instead of immediately contacting customer service, passengers would receive alternative travel options and simply confirm or decline the one that works best for them.
Digital trust & security
How cybersecurity and stronger digital systems could support the broader goal of rebuilding stakeholder trust.
Where we’re headed
Our recommendations are still being developed. The final stage turns the research into a strategic solution, presented and pitched to Alleato.
This project is challenging me to think beyond identifying a business problem, and to consider how consumer experience, sustainability, technology and brand trust work together to create a stronger long-term strategy.
